We design from the inside out - beginning with how you want to live, then shaping feel, flow and massing to support it. From thoughtful renovations, additions or new builds, we collaborate transparently with clients and builders from concept to completion, creating spaces that sit lightly on the land and live beautifully over time.
clarissa acevedoFOUNDER / PRINCIPAL DESIGNER
Clarissa is a multidisciplinary designer that started her design journey in graphic design and later earned a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) from the University of Oregon. Following graduation she worked for various renowned architecture/interior design firms in Portland and Mexico City. In 2020 started a design studio called Studio Hawker alongside her creative partner. After 5 years of freelance work and solo new builds in Oregon, Utah and Idaho, Clarissa launched her solo venture CAS.
Her process is rooted in a holistic approach to architecture and interiors. Striving to achieve spaces that are intentionally designed to support her client’s lifestyle and needs, and then shaping the architecture to support that, while being responsive to the land and setting. When working on an existing home, Clarissa looks to the architecture to guide the interior work. Her design aesthetic is ever changing and draws inspiration from the unique needs of every project, the surrounding landscapes, art, textiles and color.
Beyond design, Clarissa is an avid runner that was born and raised in Cordoba, Mexico but has spent more than a decade in the US. She lives in Midway, Utah with her kiddo, pup and husband.
